Cape May offers everything from grand old hotels to intimate B&Bs to roadside motels. The most expensive lodging tends to be the B&Bs, which offer more personality and more dedicated service, but you’ll also find exclusive small hotels. Don’t be fooled by location – some of the priciest places … more are nestled in town, while inexpensive motels can have attractive ocean views. During the low season, expect to pay between $75 and $150 per night; high season rates can go to $500 a night. Top-end accommodations have special touches like catered lunches on the beach, private cabanas, lush bedding, and award-winning dining. Moderate hotels are often filled with families, though some, like Congress Hall, also have touches of luxury. Budget motels can be little more than a place to wash the sand off, with very little character, and may be a considerable walk from town. Look for free parking, which is a luxury in Cape May.
