Paris When To Go

Peak Season: June to early-September
Paris overflows with tourists come summer due to warm-weather and ample daylight hours (sunset occurs around 10.30pm in late June); August sees many restaurants and shops close as Parisians head off on holiday.
Off Season: November to February
Although the days can be brisk (temperatures average 40°F) and the skies gray, there's very little snow in Paris – just be prepared to bundle up before setting off sightseeing. Crowds and hotel rates are at a minimum.
Sweet Spot: March to May; late-September to October
March and April can be balmy and damp. May and June offer drier weather and blooming gardens. Early autumn equals crisp air, sunshine, and a bustling cultural calendar. Bonus: fewer crowds and moderate rates.
