Smart Splurge
At this paradisial St. Lucia resort, rooms, suites, and cottages unfold plantation-style across 600 acres of lush hillside and two pristine beaches. Situated on the island’s captivating Soufriere Bay, the resort boasts uninterrupted views of the lush Piti and Gros Piton mountains. The underwater views aren’t too shabby either – the waterways directly around the resort are home to magnificent coral reefs.

A Natural Wonder
Spacious guest rooms are outfitted with en-suite bathrooms, clay tile or hardwood floors, wooden jalousie louver windows, colorful madras fabrics, and locally crafted furnishings. Large (and extremely bright) works of art by local and international artists give the resort a slightly eclectic feel. Twelve of the 49 rooms are located in the resort’s tropical garden, running flush against the beach. The remaining rooms are scattered up the hillside. One caveat: While rooms “without a fourth wall” offer uninterrupted views, they may also let in more nature than you bargained for. See more Smart Luxury Award winners

Lodging is in semi-rustic cabins scattered along the coastal mountain slope. They are very spacious and comfortable, with extra privacy for a relaxing vacation. Everything that you need is close by, within walking distance.

We picked this resort because we did not want a 'sandals' type experience. Nothing wrong with that, but not our travel style. If you want to do nothing, be waited on, eat fresh, consistently well prepared seafood, fresh fruit beverages and... more
The luxuriant tropical vegetation, the distant roll of the ocean waves, the intriguing sounds of the forest - I was beguiled by them all at this exceptional hotel in its remarkable location on a hillside a few miles outside laid-back Soufrière. So... more
We have just returned from Anse Chastanet, disappointed quite frankly. We planned a short trip to visit AC with a view to having our wedding there next year. It all began very well being met at the airport by their representative and quickly being... more
